Pass a wire through it get a lamp shade that matches with the color scheming of your kitchen and put a bulb inside it. 

Another beautiful lamp making idea for your kitchen is to get two hanging lamp shades made up of fiber. Get some glass paints and make floral designs on these. Pass wiring and hang down these hanging lights in your kitchen. Instead of an expensive chandelier made up of crystal, this lighting arrangement is much cheaper and artistic. 

Also get some plain paint start painting walls and ceiling of your kitchen yourself. You must paint walls and ceilings once in a year. You don’t have money to buy a table and put it in a kitchen. What you can do it, get four little logs from any wood shop. Cut their tops and make these smooth at one level. Order a thick glass sheet and paste that glass sheet on these four logs. Your little kitchen dining table is ready. You can have your breakfast on this little kitchen dining table.
