One fine morning, my dad came running to me and asked, “See I have got a baldness patch in the middle of head and my scalp is visible now, I hate losing hair, what should be done?” I replied,”Hmmm, at even 55 years of age, you are complaining about hair loss. I remember your dad (My grandfather) didn’t lose even a single hair till his late 60’s. It is because you hardly take any care of them”. I have often seen very young people losing their hair or having very light hair. When asked, they reply, “We don’t know why we are losing hair that quickly.” I have seen my friends shaving off their heads completely. There can be more than a 100 reasons of hair fall. The first thing may be your family genes or you may have inherited baldness hereditarily. Second some prolonged illness or fever cause hair to fall quickly. After typhoid hair loss is apparent in many people. Wrong shampoos and use of unhealthy hair products can cause hair to fall quickly. Hormonal imbalance and a mal-nutritious diet also cause hair loss. Some cancer treatments like chemotherapy and radiotherapy also make you lose hair. Women usually lose hair after pregnancy. Other causes include hormonal disorder, blocked hair pores, unclean scalp, aging, weak hair roots and deficiency of thiamine vitamin B12.
I have seen even teenagers losing hair and they are unaware of it. The thing is that if you don’t take notice of it in your young age, you are left bald in your early 30’s. The most important thing is to see your diet, stress level and type of food intake. Lack of exercise often makes you lose hair and you feel shy to attend social gatherings. They finally switch to solutions like hair therapies and transplants, which I don’t recommend. If natural remedies exist, why go for an artificial one? Let see if these help you:
)Squeeze juice of 2-3 big onions and massage gently on your head. Its better if you do it on a holiday since onion smells bad, it may irritate people around you a lot. Wash after 2-3 hours. It is one of the most effective remedy because a re-growth of hair starts after 4 weeks.
)Get good egg oil from your health store and apply on your head. Make sure you massage gently and don’t rub hair very harshly. Do such activity on a holiday since egg oil smells bad too.
)Avoid using too much shampoo and conditioner on your hair. If you feel like using these, use very rarely.
)Apply once in a week apricot (Khubani) oil to your hair. It’s not easily available, but you can ask someone to get it for you.
)Use hair products that suit you. It’s not necessary that a very good brand hair dye will suit you. For example my mom used to apply Wella hair shades to cover her grey hair. It made her hair rough and almost burnt them. She switched to vegetable dyes and is happier now. Her hair shine and gloss is restored back.
)Try to keep away from unhealthy and heavy fried foods.
)Never let your hair become oily or dry.
)Include foods in your diet that are rich in thiamine Vitamin B12, like liver, salmon, beef, yogurt and sea food.
)Try to have green vegetables in your diet.
)Prepare a mixture by boiling 200 grams of amla, shikakai and reetha in 2-3 liter of water. Boil the mixture until it water reduces to half. Allow it to stand and apply it over hair. Let this mixture dry over the scalp for around 3 hours and wash it off with warm water. This shampoo can be used for 2-3 months. It is very effective in hair growth.
)Separate out an egg yolk and apply it on your head. Leave for 2-3 hours and wash.
)Make sure that you never wash your hair with hot water. Normal tap water is good to use.
)Makes sure after washing your hair, all shampoo is completely removed and foams too.
)Some people use olive oil for massaging too. Olive oil is used for skin massage as well.
)If your hair is very oily, sprinkle some talcum powder and leave for 20 minutes. Wash afterwards. I have seen those friends of mine, who are overweight and eat a lot of fried foods, have oily hair and extremely oily skin. They even have acne on their faces.
)Lastly don’t experiment much with your hair: until there is a need to.
thanks for so manyyyy tips!
