Crazy Hairstyles of 80’s

Crazy hairstyles of 80’s

The era of 80s was simple known for fashion, fun and great styling. Some hairstyles came from celebrities of 80s. One of the most popular hairstyle among youth was side ponytail. This was a kind of hairstyle where the higher the pony tail used to be, the bigger the scrunches used to be. Hair catchers were simply not common in 80s. Hair straightening or hair ironing was even not in trend during 80s. This kind of hairstyle used to look good with the kind of baggy kind dressing, tight jeans and big earrings.
Another style common in 80s was the big perm style. If you watch movies and videos of 80s, you will find many celebrities with permed hair. I must say that the ‘80s hairstyles’ were the coolest ones. Perms were in during 80s. You may find some male celebrities with permed hair in 80s. Perms usually used to be carried out at some beauty salons. Women and men with very silky and straight hair usually used to go for permed hair in 80s. The biggest problem with the perm style was that it used to dry hair and needed lot of conditioning. Another popular style of 80s was the Big bang style. The bigger the bang was, the trendier it used to be. The bangs often used to have a feathered hair kind of style too. This hairstyle was meant to be used with loose baggy clothes and tight jeans.
Crimpling was another popular hairstyle of 80s. All of the hair was braided into tiny braids and sleeping with them overnight gave excellent crimping style. Crimping iron was used for crimping purpose. This kind of hairstyle was to be used with floral prints and flowing dresses.
Even today when some of us see old pictures of 80s, they make us laugh with the hairstyles. From bangs to funky kind pony tails, the hairstyles were very popular among youth and celebrities. ‘80s hairstyles’ used to look at times weird with some people. The side ponytail style is still popular even today. Celebrities like Jennifer Lopez use it sometimes. Big and eccentric kind hairstyles were usually common in 80s that needed lot of mousse and gel to give a much shinier look. Such hairstyles were also supported by some hairsprays and gels. Scrunches and headbands in all different colors, styles and patterns were popular. Scrunches were very popular in the side pony tail hair style. Bangs were another popular hair style during this time. Mullet haircut was also popular in 80s and sideburns too. Mullets were popular among working men of urban and suburban areas. As compared to sideburns of 70s, the sideburns of 80s were slightly thinner and shorter. 80s hairstyles were big, bold funky and trendy kind. Even today these can be adopted with some proper hair styling techniques. Layered kind hairstyles were also popular among 80s.  However, some celebrities even today have gone for 80s hairstyling.
