Ahmed Faraz was a Pakistani urdu poet. He was considered one of the greatest modern Urdu poets of the last century. Faraz is his pseudonym 'takhallus', whereas his real name is Syed Ahmad Shah..A tribute Shayar by his son, where he’s come up with an instrumental, with a video that has a story interspersed with shots of Faraz reciting one of his known nazms at a mushaira, is something really amazing...

Ashfaq Ahmed was a writer, playwright, broadcaster, intellectual and spiritualist from Pakistan. Ashfaq Ahmed authored more than twenty books in Urdu. His works included novels, short stories and plays for television and radio..Today marks his birth anni..
Out of all his plays, my favorite is play Quratulain...The story is from Ashfaq Ahmed library of “Aik Muhabbat Sau Afsane”. Knowing that he is going to lose his eyesight soon, the hero tells his heroine that he has fallen in love with another girl. As the heroine gets up to go, the hero makes one last appeal, “We can be friends” The heroine replies “Once you fall in love with somebody, you cannot be friends too” and leaves.... The original one had Naveen Tajik in it... The remade drama had Arjumand Rahim as lead heroine......and famous OST...Beqarari kiun ho rahi hey..by faisal Latif...amazingly dramatized.....
